The real new year

For anyone with a school in their life, September is the actual start of the year, and it arrives with more fixed dates than any month since January: term dates, clubs, timetables, the first parents evening. This is the page to print in colour and put where everyone walks past. Write the recurring weekly things in first, because in September those are the ones that get forgotten. September's one fixed United States holiday is Labor Day, the first Monday of the month, and it is already marked on every design below.

Every design, the same month

The same month is available in all twelve Pretty Calendars designs, from the plain Minimalist grid to the illustrated Cute, Floral, Cat, Watercolor and Beach pages. They all share the same roomy writing squares underneath, so the choice is purely about what you want to look at for a month. Nine of the ten carry an illustration for this month; Minimalist deliberately carries none.

Frequently asked questions

What paper size does this calendar print on?

The ready-made PDFs are US Letter size, and because they are vector files they scale cleanly to A4: pick "Fit to page" in your print dialog and nothing is cut off. If you want a true A4 page rather than a scaled one, the Calendar Maker has an A4 option that builds the calendar at A4 dimensions. More detail in the how-to-print guide.

Is this monthly calendar free to use?

Yes. Every calendar on Pretty Calendars is free for personal and classroom use, and you can print as many copies as you like for yourself, your family, your students or your workplace. There is no sign-up and no watermark. What you may not do is resell the files or republish them on another download site, as our licensing policy explains.

Can I choose whether the week starts on Monday or Sunday?

Yes. The ready-made English PDFs start the week on Sunday, which is the usual convention in the United States. If you want a Monday start, open the Calendar Maker, switch "Week starts on" to Monday, and download your version. The preview updates as soon as you change it, so you can see the grid before you print.

Does the calendar include holidays?

Yes. The ready-made English calendars have United States public holidays already marked on the grid. If you need a different set, the Calendar Maker lets you switch the holidays to Spain, or turn them off completely and leave the grid clean so you can write in your own dates.
