A fixed date with a changing weekday
New Year's Day is always January 1, but its weekday advances by one in a normal year and by two after a leap year. The calculated table above makes the next five instances easy to compare. In 2027 it is a Friday, and in 2028 a Saturday. Because 2028 is a leap year, the jump that follows skips Sunday entirely, and January 1, 2029 lands on a Monday.
Plan the first working week
The holiday often changes office, school and delivery schedules. Use the January calendar above to mark the observed day off, the first working day and the goals that need a date.
Does the January calendar show the other holidays?
Yes. Every January 2027 design prints New Year's Day on Friday the 1st and MLK Day on Monday the 18th, the two US federal holidays that month. The grid starts on Sunday, so the first row holds only the 1st and 2nd, and the long weekend reads clearly at the top of the page.
Who prints January early
Teachers mapping the return from winter break. Parents with a childcare gap between New Year and the first school day. Anyone setting a resolution who wants the first four weeks on paper, where a tick or a cross is harder to ignore than an app badge. The twelve designs go from Minimalist, light on ink, to Motivational, which suits a resolutions wall. Cat and Dog tend to end up in kids' rooms, next to the date school starts again. If the household runs on two calendars, print January twice: one for the fridge, one for the desk, and copy the school and work dates onto both on the same evening.
Print January your way
Every design is a vector PDF for Letter and A4. For a whole-year view, open the 2027 calendar; for a custom week start, use the calendar maker. Each file is a single page, so set the printer to fit to page when you load A4. The January calendar page has the month in more layouts, and a printable habit tracker keeps the resolution going after the first week.
